Tobacco fields at sunset in Zimbabwe

Sustainability & Compliance

Responsible from the root.

Responsible tobacco starts with the grower. Our environmental, social, and governance commitments run through every contract, every field, and every bale we deliver.

Environmental & Social Governance

Three commitments, one value chain

How we look after the people who grow our leaf, the land it grows on, and the way we do business.

  • Social

    Labour practices & grower welfare

We actively enforce agricultural labour practices with every contracted grower, and support growers with the inputs and know-how to farm well.

    • Prohibition of child labour
    • Fair wages
    • Safe working environments
    • Full-package inputs delivered directly to growers
    • Agronomic advisory, farmer training, and field monitoring
  • Environmental

    Stewardship of the land

Guidance on environmental stewardship and crop management is part of what we deliver to our growers, alongside agreed inputs.

    • Promotion of reforestation
    • Sustainable curing fuels
    • Best-practice crop management guidance
    • Soil conservation expertise in our leadership
  • Governance

    Integrity & transparency

Honesty, integrity, and transparency are core values, backed by documented agreements and controlled processes across the value chain.

    • Signed grower contract for every input package
    • Stop Orders registered with the Tobacco Industry and Marketing Board (TIMB)
    • Debt Acknowledgement agreements with clear, documented terms
    • Direct input delivery and controlled transport logistics
    • Traceable FCV leaf from grower to export
